great team and fantastic experience, highly recommended
I've learned a lot from this video. Thank you from Japan.
Great way to do your DofE! ❤
Great video, hope to be on this course in the new year. Read B for Bilge, and E for Electrics also in the acronym elsewhere.
That's great Vajinder! We look forward to welcoming you on-board soon ☺
❤ Great course!
🙌🙌🙌
Is the sound made with their jaws? Do we even know?
- Man overboard… - Man overboard!!!
Tom ,you have a magic way with words and you are helped along with the beautiful boats you view.
One day Tom you must sail Elley Grey I am thinking of going to the Monaco classics this year Elley is in Greece best Vail .
"Often the wisdom of vernacular man outstrips science" Brilliant
Lori :)
It certainly is, Tom. A happy thing.
👏👏👏
Thanks!
That's not how RYA Day Skippers should be taught. Also picking up with the boat hook is wrong and unrealistic.
😱 'Promosm'
Sperms whale is the record holder for many things. For having the largest brain of any creature on earth, for having the loudest sound of 230 dsb that can kill a human and for having the most expensive poop knows as ambergris.
If you don't like the person that went overboard can you just not do this and still pass?

Tbh I thought it would be louder..

I love whales 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈
I love whales 🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬
Still not as loud as an autistic child's meltdown.
Imagine suddenly hearing that but not knowing what it was
Such mighty creatures. Their language can literally kill us.
I'm pretty sure that "pub outside Dartmouth" is the Green Dragon in Stoke Flemming - I recognize the brass plaques behind the bar (the rightmost one says "nobody's perfect - except the captain"). One of our favourite pubs anywhere, actually (we stopped in while walking the South West Coast Path). Lovely video and a wonderful restoration of a grand old boat.
You are spot on! The Green Dragon it is. Thanks for compliment about the video and the restoration
Absolutely wonderful!
how on earth does this have only 193 views? what a great video and Tom is a treasure. thanks for posting this. I'll share it round
Thank you!
Many thanks for your kind remarks mate. This video was first posted on my RUclips Channel, 'Yachts and Yarns' ruclips.net/channel/UCrgLfFlVsszE1JSzYCmj9Yg where it's had 15K-odd views. As you liked this one, you might also find others there that you'll enjoy, eg the one on the Le Havre 1913 pilot cutter Jolie Brise which is now running at 130K views. Thanks for sharing. All the best Tom
@@TomCunliffeYachtsandYarns Jolie Brise is my dream boat! Tom, by any chance might you be going to the WoodenBoat Show in Mystic, this year? I am going and my wife and I would love to meet you if at all possible
It’s amazing too me the world we don’t see under water seeing as though our world is mainly water. It’s really like WE ARE the minority on this planet. It was really made foe them yet we know hardly anything about what goes on in the ocean.
Yet, creation WAS indeed made for us to behold and claim as ours. It is truly humbling how generous our Lord is, and that makes it especially sickening when evil and greed motivate us to take advantage and hurt what He gave us.
sounds like someone farted underwater
Now the clicks are ASMR
They can blow you eardrums underwater!
Wailord used paralyze. It's super effective.
That is so pure and musical! Thank you for sharing!!
1:45 that is LOUD AS F--- Considering how much water usually deafens sound that volume is just insane.
If You Hear that sound in the sea it means You are dead
We are not be able hear that frequency, right? It’s way more than the highest frequency we can hear, right?
Ive heard that His hand was paralyzed 4hours not days.
Wow... very loud
A scientist shows a vid of loud clicking sperm, he said to the audiece in actual its like 40 million times louder
The best way to learn this maneuvers, don't take lessons with your sailing school and look for an professional sailing instructor! "Brilliant Sarah!" 🤣🤣🤣 What the hack was brilliant?
hi
Awesome
Squid’s mom: Sleep tight. Dont let the sperm whale bite! The squid: 👀
They litterally make sounds to attack things... damn
You know....blue whales can have accents only recognized by other whales? ruclips.net/video/b19F7ijVYoQ/видео.html
damn. paralysed from sound. cool, but horrifying.
Crazy that you can hear the whale zeroing in on prey. Whatever it found is proper fucked
Now how loud would a whale be above water, I’d imagine really loud
Do you think the sound waves would still travel the same?
@@Great_Lake_Surfer don’t know
@@Great_Lake_Surfer No sound travels faster and further in water because the water molecules are closer packed than in air. Even the water temp. and salinity effects the density of the water and therefore how sound travels through it. Submariners use it when hunting enemy subs. Its been calculated that the great whales like the Blue ..the loudest but lower frequency could by bouncing their songs off dense deep oceanic layers communicate over the width of the words oceans.. until that is we got so damn noisy. This and over hunting makes it harder for these giants to find each other and the best places to feed and gather. Whales farm the oceans feeding on krill and fish converting atmospheric carbon into food and storing it away as whale which sinks to the ocean floor usually and takes it out of the atmosphere for a longer time. Whale feacies is rich in iron and triggers rapid growth in phytoplankton and then zoo plankton...which sucks CO2 out of the atmosphere much faster than trees or grass on land .. More whales feeding produce more poop ...makes more plankton ...less atmospheric CO2 and more whales .....continue ...😁👍🏼😎
Everybodys gangsta until a sperm whale starts talking
sound like fart lol
